VALEDICTORIAN

PARENTS: Heath and Ruth Wells

COLLEGE OR OTHER PLANS: Hudson Valley Community College then transfer to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for chemical and nuclear engineering

AFTER COLLEGE: Unsure – job in the nuclear field

WHAT IS IT LIKE GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MIDDLE OF A GLOBAL PANDEMIC: It certainly made senioritis more prevalent, adjusting to online deadlines has been the weirdest part. I can still talk with friends online, so the separation hasn’t been too bad for me.

WHAT DID YOU LEARN ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR CLASSMATES THIS SEMESTER: I learned that hanging out with friends, even if it’s whilst you’re doing something boring, is almost always fun.

WHAT IS A MEMORY OF YOUR SENIOR YEAR YOU’LL NEVER FORGET: Playing games on my friend’s Switch before class.

WHAT YOU WILL MISS MOST ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL: I’m gonna miss the people the most. Coming to school to see all the teachers and my friends was pretty great. I know I can still see them whenever, but now it takes planning.

WHAT’S IN YOUR MUSIC PLAYER: I’m a big fan of electronic music like Daft Punk.

BEST PART ABOUT GRADUATING: I’ll get to study really interesting things in college.

WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOU: Bruce Lee inspires me with his style and philosophy about flow and adaptability to anything.
