PARENTS: Michael Stewart, Elizabeth Stewart

COLLEGE OR OTHER PLANS: I am attending Binghamton University in the fall with a major in biology.

AFTER COLLEGE: I plan on attending a med school and obtaining my medical license.

WHAT IS IT LIKE GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MIDDLE OF A GLOBAL PANDEMIC: It has definitely been an unusual experience, but I am just so honored to be able to receive so much support from my community. It has been amazing to see how everyone is still making graduation as special as possible for every 2020 graduate. Even under these crazy circumstances, I think we all still feel recognized.

WHAT DID YOU LEARN ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR CLASSMATES THIS SEMESTER: How much all of my classmates mean to me. I think it’s easy to focus on the negative aspects of people, but not being able to see everyone in school has made me realize how many good connections I was missing out on. I’m not normally very sociable, but this quarantine really makes me want to get to know all of the amazing people in my grade.

WHAT IS A MEMORY OF YOUR SENIOR YEAR YOU’LL NEVER FORGET: The whole year really feels like a blur, but I will always cherish the little moments that I had with my friends. Whether it was giving someone a ride home, or just staying after to get some work done, I always felt like I was in good company.

WHAT WILL YOU MISS MOST ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL: Playing in the orchestra is definitely something I’m going to miss. Ms. Kondenar is such an amazing music teacher, and music has become such a huge part of my life thanks to her. It was incredible to get to go into orchestra every day and do something I love with so many amazing people.

WHAT’S IN YOUR MUSIC PLAYER: Cuco, Rex Orange County, and Clairo.

BEST PART ABOUT GRADUATING: It’s so thrilling to have such a big change in my life, and I really just can’t wait to go to college and have new, exciting experiences.
