WHAT IS IT LIKE GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MIDDLE OF A GLOBAL PANDEMIC: This whole experience has truly been eye-opening. It has made me so much more appreciative for the people and things I have in my life. It has allowed me to become more flexible and understand that the future is unpredictable, so it is important to adapt to situations quickly.

WHAT DID YOU LEARN ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR CLASSMASTES THIS SEMESTER: I learned that we can really persevere through anything. Many new obstacles were put in our way, but we still managed to overcome them and ultimately come out stronger in the end.

WHAT IS A MEMORY OF YOUR SENIOR YEAR YOU’LL NEVER FORGET: Seeing the community come together for our senior parade is an experience from my senior year that I will never forget. It was extremely special being the first thing done to honor our seniors after quarantine. Additionally, recording my salutatorian speech was something very special to me.

WHAT WILL YOU MISS MOST ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL: Seeing my best friend and all the awesome teachers at Mayfield.

WHAT’S IN YOUR MUSIC PLAYER: Mostly rap and country music. Some of my favorite artists are Morgan Wallen, Juice WRLD and Nicki Minaj.

BEST PART ABOUT GRADUATING: The feeling of a new beginning, starting the next chapter of my journey in New York City. I’m going to miss Mayfield a lot, but I’m looking forward to a new environment.
