Nicholas Dahlen

PARENTS: Andres and Ann Dahlen

COLLEGE OR OTHER PLANS: I plan to attend Middlebury College

AFTER COLLEGE: I am undecided about my post-college plans. I look forward to figuring out my future plans over the next four years.

WHAT IS IT LIKE GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MIDDLE OF A GLOBAL PANDEMIC: It is definitely not how I envisioned my high school career coming to an end, but I think it will ultimately bring everyone in the Class of 2020 closer together. We are all going to have this shared experience for the rest of our lives. We are resilient, and we have learned to take nothing for granted as we embark into the world.

WHAT DID YOU LEARN ABOUT YOURSELF AND OUR CLASSMATES THIS SEMESTER: To adapt and to place a greater value on the relationships I have built over the last four years. Most of this last semester has been remote learning. Throughout this time, I have realized that it is the people, my teachers and classmates, that make high school a great experience. I am grateful for all the people in my life, and I now value my relationships with them more than ever.

WHAT IS A MEMORY OF YOUR SENIOR YEAR YOU’LL NEVER FORGET: I am a varsity rower at Saratoga Rowing Association. I will never forget competing at the Head of the Charles this past fall. I had looked forward to racing at that regatta for many years, and it was truly unforgettable.

WHAT WILL YOU MISS MOST ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL: I will miss my teachers, classmates, and friends.

WHAT’S IN YOUR MUSIC PLAYER?: I enjoy most music, primarily country. Some favorites are Kane Brown, Luke Combs, and Luke Bryan.

BEST PART ABOUT GRADUATING: I value academic excellence, and successfully completing this chapter of my life is very fulfilling.

WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOU?: Winning inspires me.
