Mohonasen High School
PARENTS: Scott McWilliams and Neusa McWilliams
COLLEGE OR OTHER PLANS: Columbia University in Manhattan with a major in Applied Physics and a minor in Screenwriting.
AFTER COLLEGE: I plan on attending graduate school to pursue a PhD. I might also get into screenwriting as a hobby and perhaps a side career if I find out I’m really good at it.
WHAT IS IT LIKE GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MIDDLE OF A GLOBAL PANDEMIC: It’s not at all better than normal school, and I know I would not have succeeded in an environment devoid of social interaction and friends. I feel so isolated. It’s been difficult finding the ambition to get work done, which is a problem I’ve never had in normal school. I’m praying that my first semester at Columbia won’t be online.
WHAT DID YOU LEARN ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR CLASSMATES THIS SEMESTER: That school seems almost meaningless when I’m not surrounded by peers, I’ve gotten to know so well, and have gotten comfortable with.
WHAT IS A MEMORY OF YOUR SENIOR YEAR YOU’LL NEVER FORGET: Spending time with friends and teachers and, throwing, by all accounts, the greatest party in Mohonasen history at my house.
WHAT WILL YOU MISS MOST ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL: Even though I worked extremely hard, I still had tons of fun. I’m mostly going to miss all of the fun events such as Powderpuff, prom, playing piano in the talent shows, playing football, swimming in the varsity team and much more.
WHAT’S IN YOUR MUSIC PLAYER: Mostly rap, but a bit of Led Zeppelin here and there.
WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOU: My parents.
