WHAT IS IT LIKE GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MIDDLE OF A GLOBAL PANDEMIC: Getting through the pandemic has been a unique experience and this is definitely something to be proud of, especially with everyone trying to help each other despite no one really knowing what to do. While this year’s graduation certainly won’t be as exciting as many have wanted it to be (don’t be too sad that you weren’t able to hear my graduation speech live), it will also be special in the sense that it won’t be like any of the past graduations (I mean, who would’ve thought of a drive-thru graduation?). But maybe we can all look back on this one day and remember what it’s like to graduate during a pandemic. At least I can say that this year’s graduation will be especially memorable for everyone and that we’ll have another one of those “childhood stories” to tell.

WHAT DID YOU LEARN ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR CLASSMATES THIS SEMESTER: I can binge-watch an entire TV drama series in a day and my classmates are extremely adept at spreading information, even with the school being closed.

WHAT IS A MEMORY OF YOUR SENIOR YEAR YOU’LL NEVER FORGET: Moving from traditional to online classes. Although I’ve taken quite a few online courses before, the fact that the classes I’m taking this semester were once taught in traditional classrooms made this experience more unique in terms of the level of interaction between students and teachers. It was also encouraging to see more people getting used to various online resources and the teachers making the transition process as smooth as possible.

WHAT YOU WILL MISS MOST ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL: Having less responsibilities
