
SCHENECTADY — On Saturday, for the second day in a row, city police were investigating the discovery of an unoccupied vehicle that had been shot several times.
In the most recent incident, officers called to the area of Odell Street at 5:56 a.m. Saturday reported finding an unoccupied light-colored Jeep that had been hit by several gunshots. Police detectives and evidence technicians processed the vehicle and are investigating.

That incident comes a day after police discovered an unoccupied vehicle on Elmer Street on Friday. The vehicle was described as a Nissan SUV, with broken windows and what appeared to be blood on the interior. It isn’t known whether the vehicle is connected with any particular violent event, and no victim or suspect has been located, based on information police released on Friday.
