ALBANY – A severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for the entire Capital Region until 10 p.m. Wednesday evening, the National Weather Service said.
The watch carries concerns of damaging winds, lightning and heavy downpours, the service said.
Isolated hail of up to quarter size is possible, along with scattered gusts up to 70 mph and frequent lightning are also possible.
Included in the watch area are Schenectady, Saratoga, Fulton, Montgomery, Schoharie and Albany counties.
The Capital Region is at the northern end of the large watch area that stretches down to Delaware and part of Maryland.
