Monday evening’s shooting came less than a day after the fatal shooting of 31-year-old Jennifer Ostrander, just before 10:30 p.m. Sunday on Sixth Avenue.

Ostrander’s death marked the city’s fourth gunshot homicide in 2020, after a 15-month stretch where the city saw no gunshot murders.

The fatal shooting also came a week after the city saw five reports of gunfire July 28 where multiple people were injured, but all survived.

Anyone with information on Monday night’s shooting is asked to contact detectives at 518-382-5245. Police have also asked that anyone with information on Sunday night’s slaying of Ostrander do the same.
