Bousquet is accused of using two fraudulent cashier’s checks to pay for a boat he purchased on Facebook Marketplace Sunday, state police said.

He is accused of meeting with the victim in Gloversville on Sunday to look the boat over and purchase the vessel, state police said. He then provided the victim with two endorsed cashier’s checks for $5,600 as payment.

The victim soon discovered that the checks were fraudulent. The victim contacted state police, who then recovered the boat in Ballston Lake.
Bousquet was arrested, arraigned and ordered held.

State police released Bousquet’s photo and asked that anyone who either has additional information about the case or who believes they may be a victim to contact the state police at 518-661-5006.
