LAKE LUZERNE – A fire was reported Sunday evening at a home owned by Rachael Ray, Gazette news gathering partner CBS6 reported.
The station cited the Warren County Sheriff’s Office as saying there was a fire at the home on Chuckwagon Trail.
ETOnline quoted a Ray representative as saying Ray, her husband John Cusimano and their dog Bella were safe, but that the house had been damaged to an unknown extent.
Born in Glens Falls, Ray has grown into a national and international television figure as the star of “30 Minute Meals” and “$40 a Day” and then as the host of her own talk show “Rachael Ray.”
In 2016, she returned to do a cooking show from her old high school’s auditorium in Lake George for the then 14th-straight year.
She then indicated she lived in New York’s East Village and that she owned a small cabin in Lake Luzerne, traveling there regularly to relax and visit family.
“I live up the road, five minutes from here,” she joked then.
She also expressed pride in her talk show, as well as her magazine, Every Day With Rachael Ray, and her Food Network shows.
“I want people to see themselves in our shows, it’s not about celebrities,” she said then. “We try to have real conversations with celebrities. We are an unscripted television show.”
