PATTERSONVILLE – A Pattersonville woman stole more than $147,000 from the veterinary clinic where she worked, state police said.
Jennifer Dolezsar, 49, was arrested and charged with second-degree grand larceny and first-degree falsifying business records, felonies.
State police began investigating after receiving a complaint from the clinic’s owner last month that one of the staff members had been fraudulently reporting business transactions to the clinic’s accounting firm. The state police did not identify the clinic in a release.
The investigation and interviews then led to the discovery that Dolezsar had taken the money over a more-than three-year period, from January 2016 to June 2020, state police said.
Dolezsar had been employed there as a client care specialist, state police said.
Dolezsar was processed and released to appear in Rotterdam Town Court next month.
