SUNY Cobleskill women’s basketball coach Bowman named school’s golf coach

COBLESKILL — SUNY Cobleskill women’s basketball coach Megan Bowman is adding a new job.

Bowman was named the new men’s and women’s golf head coach for SUNY Cobleskill on Thursday.

Bowman has been the Tigers’ women’s basketball coach since 2019.

“I am very excited to have this opportunity and grateful to our Athletic Director Marie Curran-Headley for the chance to become involved with our golf program,” Bowman said in a press release. “I want to build upon our past successes and take our program forward as we move to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) when play resumes.”

Before taking over the women’s basketball team, Bowman coach the Scotia-Glenville girls’ basketball team, compiling a 46-19 record from 2016-19. Bowman also coached at the AAU level from 2015-17 with the Saratoga Sparks.

A native of Dannemora, Bowman is no stranger to the links. She was a three-sport standout at Saranac High School in golf, basketball and soccer. She currently plays to a 12 handicap.
