Tails were wagging for a good cause Sunday morning as 100 percent of the proceeds from the Wag Town Dog Grooming and Daycare dog wash event went to support Operation at Ease.
“I started Wag Town in 2015. [Joani Bonilla] started Operation at East in 2015. We were friends and I wanted to support her,” Megan Kiltz said. “I think since COVID, people have been more receptive to helping out small business.”
The event was expected to see as many as 30 dogs, both large and small, stop in for a shampoo, dry, nail clip and grind — all to help support Operation at Ease.
“We take dogs from shelters, we pair them with deserving veterans and first responders and we provide a free guided training program for post-traumatic stress and leg mobility service dogs,” Bonilla said. “When I wanted to do this and I needed a fundraiser, [Megan Kiltz] was the first person I called.”
