Siena men’s basketball secured Thursday its third verbal commitment for its 2021 class, as 6-foot-2 guard Javian McCollum announced his intention to join head coach Carmen Maciariello’s program with a social-media post.
“To the coaches that have actively been recruiting me, I would like to thank you for the opportunity and for considering me as a potential member of your family,” McCollum tweeted Thursday night. “I have personally reached out to each of you. This process has been a blessing. With that being said, let’s go Saints!!”
A senior at Fort Myers High School in Florida, McCollum joins a pair of wing players in Maciariello’s 2021 class. Stephen Coleman, a 6-foot-4 perimeter player from Ohio, and Jared Billups, a 6-foot-5 perimeter player from Maryland, committed to the Saints last month.
Siena finished 20-10 last season.
