Teson, Bette lead Shaker golf teams to victory

Shaker and Bethlehem posted Suburban Council golf sweeps Saturday, with the boys and girls from those schools topping their opponents from Colonie and Troy, respectively.

The Shaker boys won 256-303 behind Joe Teson’s 38, and the Shaker girls prevailed 186-244 behind Emily Bette’s 42, at Town of Colonie Golf Course. Colonie’s low scorers were Ryan Mathew with a 47, and Abby Mesick with a 57.

The Bethlehem boys won 246-300 behind Andrew Brockley’s 38, and the Bethlehem girls won 166-187 behind Elle Lyda’s 48, at Normanside Country Club. Troy was led by Alex Wolfe with a 42 and Molly Bisceglia with a 54.

Brennan Reiner carded a 42 to lead Guilderland past Averill Park 271-293 at Burden Lake Country Club.

Travis Taylor fired a 40 to lift Columbia over Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 286-310 at Pheasant Hollow Golf Course.
