NFL Picks, Week 5

As always, the winning teams are in caps.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS at Chicago Bears – I’ve been a bit cynical about Tom’s ability to lead the Buccaneers to glory. But I’m setting it aside. He has looked pretty good lately, and he appears to have a good team around him.

CAROLINA PANTHERS at Atlanta Falcons – I’m sure the Falcons will win a game sometime this season. But I’m not going to waste a lot of energy figuring out when that might be.

Buffalo Bills at TENNESSEE TITANS – Is this game even happening? I made my pick as if the Titans are a normal team, not a team that might have to forfeit because it broke COVID protocol.

Las Vegas Raiders at KANSAS CITY CHIEFS – I’m jumping off the Raiders bandwagon, such as it was.

ARIZONA CARDINALS at New York Jets – I picked the Jets to win last week. BIG MISTAKE. As one of my friends put it, “LOL you picked the Jets to beat a professional football team.” Indeed. I won’t do that again!

Philadelphia Eagles at PITTSBURGH STEELERS – The Eagles are not good – don’t be fooled by the fact that they’re first place in their division.

LOS ANGELES RAMS at Washington Football Team – I still have no idea who plays for the Washington Football Team. Love the name, though.

Cincinnati Bengals at BALTIMORE RAVENS – Ravens will roll.

Jacksonville Jaguars at HOUSTON TEXANS – I’m banking on a “we’re so happy we fired our awful coach” bounce for the Texans.

Miami Dolphins at SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS – Is Jimmy G. going to play this weekend? What’s going on?

Denver Broncos at NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS – Is this game going to happen? Good grief.

Indianapolis Colts at CLEVELAND BROWNS – Woah, what was I thinking when I made this pick? Can the Browns really beat the Colts?

New York Giants at DALLAS COWBOYS – Nothing makes me happier than watching America’s team struggle. But I think they’ve got this.

Minnesota Vikings at SEATTLE SEAHAWKS – I have no confidence in the Vikings. Like, none.

Los Angeles Chargers at NEW ORLEANS SAINTS – Could be a fun one.

Last week’s results:

Me: 9-6, Overall: 43-19-1

Ken Schott: 10-5, Overall: 40-22-1
