CLIFTON PARK – Shenendehowa Thursday reported two COVID positives associated with the district’s transportation department.

The Saratoga County Public Health Department notified the district Thursday.

The department has since identified through contact tracing any student or staff who had prolonged, direct contact with the individuals, the district said. Those individuals have been placed on quarantine “out of an abundance of caution” until cleared by the county health department, officials said in a letter posted to the district’s site.

“We cannot emphasize enough that parents, students and staff members need to be just as vigilant following guidelines outside of school, this includes limiting group gatherings, practicing good hygiene, wearing masks and following social distance guidelines,” the district said.

The state school COVID dashboard has reported eight Shenendehowa students and three teachers or staff testing positive in the past two weeks – Sept. 24 to Oct. 7 – and one student and no staff in the past seven days – Oct. 1 to Oct. 7.
