SCHENECTADY – An apparent shooting Monday afternoon in Schenectady left one woman injured and her car window shot out, according to information available at the scene.

The woman’s injuries were believed to be minor, according to information available. But further details on the injuries were not available and a police spokesman could not be reached.

Multiple police officers could also be seen taking someone into custody after a foot chase in Vale Cemetery shortly after the shooting was reported. Further information on that person was also not available.

The incident happened at about 12:45 p.m. in the area of Summit Avenue in the city’s Hamilton Hill neighborhood, according to the information available. The damaged car could be seen shortly afterward on Veeder Avenue, in front of the Schenectady County Sheriff’s Department.
