ROTTERDAM – A car slammed into a garage next to a liquor store Sunday morning, destroying the car and garage in a fire.

The driver was not injured, according to information available at the scene.

The crash happened just after 7 a.m. Sunday at the garage located next to the Black Mountain Wine & Liquor store on Mariaville Road. The car appeared to be a Shelby Cobra sports car.

Further details on the crash were not immediately available from police.

South Schenectady firefighters, along with Pine Grove, Rotterdam District 2 and Plotterkill departments responded.
