SCHENECTADY – One man was shot and injured in a weekend home invasion shooting, police said Tuesday.

The shooting victim, 50, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Dearing said.

The incident happened at about 2 a.m. Saturday at 36 Robinson St., Dearing said.

Officers responded to a call for shots fired and arrived to find the victim inside the apartment, Dearing said.

Police soon determined that multiple suspects had forced their way into the residence and the victim was then shot inside, Dearing said.

The case remained under investigation Tuesday.
