ALBANY — Dates and a venue are set for two non-conference games for the UAlbany men’s basketball program, as well as one opponent.

As expected, the Great Danes will participate in games at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut in the setting dubbed as “Bubbleville,” the school’s athletic department confirmed Friday. As part of the “Springfield Bracket” of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament, UAlbany will play games on Dec. 3 and 4; head coach Will Brown confirmed the Great Danes will play LIU on Dec. 3, then will play either Drexel or Quinnipiac on Dec. 4.

College basketball games at Mohegan Sun Arena in a bubble-like environment are set to be played from Nov. 25 to Dec. 4. The Siena men’s basketball program is expected to play four non-conference games at the arena, and more than 30 teams reportedly will play at some point in “Bubbleville.”

UAlbany’s America East Conference schedule is yet to be released, but the league recently announced its schedule format for the 2020-21 season. America East Conference play is slated to start on Dec. 19, and the league’s plan calls for all games to be played on Saturdays and Sundays, with two teams playing each other on back-to-back days at one site.
