ROTTERDAM – An employee at the Mariaville Road Stewart’s has tested positive for COVID-19, prompting the county to issue an advisory for potential “low-risk” exposure.
The employee who later tested positive worked at the store on Oct. 18 and 19, from 5:30 p.m. to close both days, the county said.
Schenectady County Public Health Services has identified and quarantined close contacts of the individual.
“Although SCPHS believes there is a low risk of exposure, members of the public who visited the store during those times should monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days from that date and consider getting tested,” the county said in a statement.
Stewart’s has followed all guidance from the county and has fully cooperated during the investigation, officials said.
