Remaining early voting times Wednesday through Nov. 1, and locations

Early voting in local, state and national elections began Saturday, the first of nine days of polling in the run up to the Nov. 3 election. Early voting Tuesday concluded at 5 p.m. Early voting then resumes Wednesday at noon.

All counties in the region will keep the same early voting schedule and hours, but those hours look different depending on the day of the week.

Remaining Early Voting Dates/Times Tuesday through Nov. 1

  • Wednesday, Oct. 28, Noon to 8 p.m. 
  • Thursday, Oct. 29, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Friday, Oct. 30, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 31, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (extended one hour to 3 in Schenectady County)
  • Sunday, Nov. 1, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (extended one hour to 3 in Schenectady County)

Voters can cast early ballots at any of the voting sites within the county where they are registered to vote. Here are early voting sites by county:

Schenectady County  

  • Karen B. Johnson Library, Central Branch, 99 Clinton Street, Schenectady
  • South Schenectady Fire Department, 6 Old Mariaville Road, Rotterdam
  • Glenville Senior Center, 32 Worden Road, Glenville
  • Niskayuna Town Hall, 1 Niskayuna Circle, Niskayuna

Saratoga County

  • Clifton Park-Halfmoon Library, 475 Moe Road, Clifton Park
  • Gavin Park, 10 Lewis Road, Saratoga Springs
  • Board of Elections Office, 50 W. High St., Ballston Spa

Albany County

  • Albany County Board of Elections, 260 South Pearl St., Albany
  • Berne Volunteer Fire Company, 30 Canaday Hill Road, Berne
  • Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 85 Elm Ave., Delmar

Absentee Ballot Information

  • Deadline to request absentee ballot is Oct. 27 online or by mail, and by Nov. 2 in-person
  • Absentee ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 3 or dropped directly at an election site by Nov. 3 at 9 p.m. and received by the county board of elections no later than Nov. 10
  • Voters can drop off absentee ballots at early voting sites, county elections offices or Election Day polling sites
  • Voters who have requested an absentee ballot, or even returned it, can still vote in person, in which case their absentee ballot will be set aside and not opened
  • Absentee ballot counting will begin on or around Nov. 9 after state officials check the records against voter files for signs of duplicate votes
