Below is the Schenectady County District Attorney’s report on the arrest of arrest of Yugeshwar Gaindarpersaud on July 6 in Schenectady.

District Attorney Robert Carney released the report Wednesday, shortly after one of the original charges against Gaindarpersaud in the incident, criminal mischief, was dismissed and the other charge, resisting arrest, was set on course for dismissal.

Gaindarpersaud’s arrest, which included the arresting officer Brian Pommer using a controversial hold, drew widespread attention this summer after Gaindarpersaud’s father filmed a portion of the encounter between he and Pommer and posted the footage online, clips that ignited immediate demonstrations in the city.
