The UAlbany basketball teams released their full schedules Monday, with the men’s opening game set for Nov. 28 vs. Niagara and the women’s opening game scheduled for Nov. 29 vs. Central Connecticut.
The men will play four non-conference games, while the women will play five — including a Dec. 2 home game against Siena.
The men’s schedule originally listed a Nov. 25 game at Niagara and a Dec. 9 game vs. Colgate, but a subsequent press release from the school’s athletic department clarified those games “are currently not on the UAlbany men’s basketball schedule.”
The Great Danes will open America East Conference play Dec. 19-20 against UMBC, with the men’s program playing at its home SEFCU Arena and the women’s team playing on the road.
The league announced Monday its 2020-21 schedule, which consists primarily of teams playing on Saturdays and Sundays, with two teams playing each other on back-to-back days at one site. Each team will play one another twice during the 18-game regular season, and the format for the league’s postseason “will be announced at a later date.”
