QUEENSBURY – An Election Day argument over a campaign sign turned physical Tuesday and led to one man’s arrest, Warren County Sheriff’s officials said.

The incident happened Tuesday near Lake Luzerne Road, officials said.

It started as a verbal argument, but soon escalated into a physical altercation where one man was accused of kneeing another man in the face, causing visible injuries, officials said. A release did not describe the argument further.

Officials identified the man arrested as Robert J. Hogan, 57, of Queensbury. He faces one count of third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.

Hogan was released on an appearance ticket to appear in court later.
