
SARATOGA SPRINGS — With colder weather moving into the Capital Region, Shelters of Saratoga has declared a nighttime Code Blue starting Thursday, Nov. 12, meaning the homeless shelter at 4 Adelphi Street will be open.
The Code Blue alert will be in effect through Monday, Nov. 16. The shelter will be open from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. nightly.
By state regulation, Code Blue winter emergency shelters open when the temperature is below 32 degrees, including wind chill. The National Weather Service is predicting that overnight temperatures through Monday will drop into the low 30s.
