GLOVERSVILLE – A man wanted for murder in Florida who was confirmed in Gloversville in August has now been arrested in Texas, police said Thursday.
Police announced the arrest Thursday of Douglas R. Roe, Jr. after the department learned of it this week through the U.S. Marshals service.
Roe, 44, was wanted in connection with a murder case out of Clay County, Fla. Details on the case were unavailable. Clay County is southwest of Jacksonville.
Gloversville police in August asked for the public to report any sightings of Roe after he had been confirmed to be in the area then.
Police raided a Third Avenue residence then in an attempt to find him, but came up empty-handed.
