Saratoga Sheriff: Man charged in early Wednesday stabbing on Sylvan Trail in Malta

MALTA – A man has been charged in connection with an early Wednesday stabbing on the Sylvan Trail in Malta, Saratoga County Sheriff’s officials said.

The victim suffered the stab wound to his arm and was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment, officials said.

Dylan A. Nigro, 18, homeless, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, a felony.

The incident happened on the Sylvan Trail in the Northway Eleven community in Malta in the early morning hours of Wednesday, officials said.

Nigro is accused of stabbing the victim after an altercation on the trail. A release did not describe the altercation further.

Nigro was arraigned and ordered held on $5,000 bail. He is due back in court later.
