
GLENVILLE – Crews left Monday from Glenville’s Stratton 109th Airlift wing as they deploy to New Zealand for a two-month standby for emergency missions to Antarctica.
This is the first time in 32 years the wing will not be deploying to Antarctica to support research with National Science Foundation’s US Antarctic Program. Three LC-130s departed Monday morning for the trip, with 31 airmen two Christchurch New Zealand.
