GLOVERSVILLE – A Gloversville 18-year-old fired multiple shots on Third Street late Sunday, police said.
No injuries were reported, but a car was found with damage consistent with being shot four times, police said.
Kyle W. Lander, 18, of Fox Street, was arrested and charged with one count of first-degree reckless endangerment, a felony, police said.
The incident happened at about 11:50 p.m. Sunday on Third Street, between Grove Street and Woodside Avenue, police said.
Residents reported hearing between three and six shots and seeing a vehicle believed to have been involved leaving the scene, police said.
Officers were able to follow the vehicle to a residence on Broad Street, where they set up a perimeter and awaited assistance, including from Johnstown police, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and state police, Gloversville police said.
Officers there soon had the occupants of the Broad Street address exit and developed two persons of interest. One was detained at the residence. Officers believed the other fled on foot while they set up the perimeter. Police later located that person walking in the area.
