Saratoga Sheriff: April break-in at Halfmoon recycling business leads to Rensselaer man’s arrest

HALFMOON – A Rensselaer man has been arrested in connection with a break-in at a Halfmoon recycling business, Saratoga County Sheriff’s officials said Monday.

The incident happened April 16 at JGS Recycling on Hudson River Road, officials said.

Two people broke into the business then and stole a small amount of cash, officials said.

One of those men has since been identified as Robert Bump, 47, of Walker Street, Rensselaer. Investigators arrested him recently and charged him with one count of third-degree burglary, a felony, officials said.

The second individual has yet to be identified, officials said.

Bump was arraigned and remanded back to the Rensselaer County Jail where he is being held on unrelated charges.
