Trying to figure out what day the NFL games are being played this season is giving me a headache.
In particular, watching the Ravens-Steelers game getting moved from Thanksgiving night to Sunday afternoon to Tuesday night to Wednesday night and then to Wednesday afternoon just shows the NFL will do to get a game in during the coronavirus pandemic.
The NFL is doing everything it can to make sure the regular season is played without having any cancelations. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell made the comment Wednesday that the league wants to play a 17-week regular season. But what we’re seeing between games being moved and the San Francisco 49ers having to move the Glendale, Arizona, to practice and play their home games because Santa Clara County is banning contact sports because of the pandemic, and the Denver Broncos not having a viable quarterback because their regular QBs didn’t wear masks and got the virus, I can’t see the league making it through the season without having to play games in a Week 18 scenario.
Hey, how about that, I didn’t write about my awful Philadelphia Eagles!
I had a good Week 12 with my picks. I went 12-4 to go to 116-60-1. Gazette news columnist Sara Foss was at 10-6. Sara is 118-58-1.
