Schenectady pair accused of stealing construction tools

CLIFTON PARK – Two Schenectady residents were charged Monday with third-degree grand larceny after they stole construction tools valued at over $3,000, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department.

James L. Salvo, 49, of Gerling Street, and Amie L. Sorey, 44, of North College Street, were arrested following an investigation into the theft on Sept. 13 at the Singlecut Brewery at 6 Fairchild Square in Clifton Park. The two are accused of entering a construction trailer at the business and stealing numerous tools, the Sheriff’s Department reported.

Salvo and Storey were arraigned in Clifton Park Town Court. Salvo was remanded to the Fulton County Correctional Facility where is being held on unrelated charges. Sorey also was sent to the Saratoga County Jail.
