The Siena women’s basketball program announced Monday the addition of Selena Philoxy, a forward who played three seasons at Seton Hall.
Philoxy played for Seton Hall as recently as last season, but then transferred to Stetson. A mid-year transfer to Siena, Philoxy has one remaining year of playing eligibility and is expected to use it during the 2021-22 campaign.
“I am excited to add Selena Philoxy to our program,” Siena head coach Ali Jaques said via a press release issued from the school’s athletic department. “She is a player we recruited very heavily when she was in high school. She is a physical post presence and proven rebounder at the Big East level.”
Philoxy, a 6-foot-0 native of Queens, averaged 2.8 points and 6.9 rebounds in 17 games last season. As a sophomore, Philoxy averaged 5.5 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.
Siena is 0-2 on the season and next plays Friday at Canisius.
