Stefanik shows her loyalty is to Trump

Rep. Elise Stefanik signed onto the amicus brief in a Texas lawsuit that asked the courts to invalidate millions of votes from four swing states won by President-elect Joe Biden — a blatant attempt to undermine our democracy.
The “representative” in her title means she is a representative of Trump, as she is obviously not a representative of American democracy.
It’s absolutely disgusting that she would try to subvert our Constitutional process.

Don’t understand Republican actions

I am having a bit of a problem understanding why Sen. Mitch McConnell is objecting to the latest virus aid proposals on the basis that there is no money available. The House of Representatives passed a proposal back in May, and McConnell has refused to bring that proposal or any other Democratic or Republican proposal to the floor of the Senate.
In the meantime, the White House is throwing multiple Christmas parties, just one of which includes dinner, entertainment, dancing and drinks for 900 people.
I assume this is being paid for from federal funds (our tax money).
Also noted: The purchase of additional virus vaccinations is being held up because of price negotiations while somewhere in the area of 2,400-plus U.S. citizens per day are dying.
Secondarily, Vice President Mike Pence and many others are attempting to ban abortion.
OK.
My problem is that they are also cutting WIC and all the social programs that are there to provide clothing, food and housing for these unaborted children.
Is their goal to have the children born and then starve or freeze them to death?

Agree that Biden will restore America

I would like to thank Vince Dacquisto for his Dec. 9 pointed letter (“Biden will lift us out of Trump’s swamp.”)
He expressed what many of us feel after experiencing the last four years of the Trump presidency. We can only hope that some of our Republican colleagues will come to their senses and work with President-elect Biden to bring an end to this long period of partisan stagnation.
He’s a good man, and his extensive experience in government will serve him well in the task of rebuilding confidence and competence in our institutional structures.
Thanks, Vince, for the letter.

I to am often bewildered by the apparent hypocrisy of the words republicans/conservatives use and then their actions.

It’s quite simple. “I got mine.”you get yours”

Like in Scarface….”the world is mine”…

It’s the religious right using the republican
party to enforce their beliefs and codify their desire to remove a women’s right to self determination.

Pro-life is an unholy collection of aberrant
right wing Christian “dominionist” and have used their money to buy influence to establish their beliefs for religion in government.
No different than a Mullah their religious canons will be yours!!
Now they have managed to get Barrett into SCOTUS. It’s begun.

SELF DETERMINATION IS A HUMAN RIGHT

Thanks to people like you it is now acceptable to dispense with the inconvenient. Now discussions will center on decide membership in the inconvenient class.

Robert F. Jewell

Jerry your spot on.

Elise Stephanik should be investigated for sedation along with her other co-conspirators.
They should be charged under Article 2, section 5 of our constitution.
Her charge to investigate Cuomo is a smoke screen for her sedition!!

RAYMOND HARRIS

Robert – She is getting skewed on Twitter and rightfully so. She is a sellout and an embarrassment, along with her GOP colleagues. I hope they pay the price down the road.

William Marincic

Louis M. Cook Don’t you find it maddening that Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats turned down a Covid relief bill that was for billions more dollars and she did it because President Trump was in office. Nancy Pelosi now says she will give us a relief bill because Biden supposedly won the election but it will not be as large as the Republicans offered the Democrats 60 days ago. Doesn’t it make you mad that Pelosi held out on the better release bill?

RAYMOND HARRIS

The most that McConnell has agreed to for months has been $500 billion. He’s the one in control, not Pelosi. The earlier proposals included money for the postal service that Trump refused to go along with. The GOP has been pulling our chain for months because they care less about people (including front line health care workers, first responders and the unemployed) and more about corporations and protecting them completely from liability (e.g., manufacturing that are super spreader facilities because employees are packed together). So get off your accusatory soap box and use facts.

RAYMOND HARRIS

But McConnell wasn’t on board because he got pushback from too many GOP senators. Just because Trump says something doesn’t mean McConnell jumps. Haven’t learned anything over the last four years? Find me a quote where McConnell agreed to anything more than $500 billion or so.

William Marincic

Frank DeSantis Let me put it in perspective, I’m a Republican that used to be a lifelong democrat. As far as Biden goes I will say along with millions of others. NOT MY PRESIDENT!!!!!

Robert F. Jewell

Thanks Ray…seemed like a contradiction in terms…
I call such stances in life mugwumpism.

Trying to cover all the bets…
Like Trump tithing…

Robert F. Jewell

Go Team Democrat!
President Biden needs all loyal Americans to wear their masks and get the shot ASAP.

Listen to Dr.Fauci, whom Trump and the ignorant hoards reviled and still do…

Support our new legally elected President
Joe Biden!

Ignore republican sycophants who followed Trump all the way…many to early GRAVES !!

Real change will begin Jan.20th!

New York has spent billions on climate mitigation yet their vis no public evidence of the effect of this expenditure on the climate! Nor is there any theory offered that New York’s efforts could have any measurable effect on the worlds climate. In short we are paying for government posturing

Do you not think that if the expenditure of billions could be justified in theory or fact on its effecting climate change we would not be awash in praise for the Democrats’ out standing climate leadership.

P.S. Try producing some evidence that I am in error. I await your attempt.

RAYMOND HARRIS

Also show me where we have spent billions of dollars on climate change. Further, you cannot eradicate climate change in the short term. Despite Trump rolling back environmental standards and promoting fossil fuel usage, NYS is a leader in pushing back on Trump’s unscientific stance (which Biden will reverse) and has a long-term plan.

Here’s some of what NY is doing:
– New York State has banned fracking and is committed to phasing out antiquated, polluting coal plants. The Governor’s Clean Energy Standard, the first-ever state clean energy mandate, requires 70% of electricity consumed will come from renewable energy by 2030.
– The Governor also banned single-use plastic bags and styrofoam, and is completing the largest artificial reef expansion in State history.
– In direct response to the Trump administration proposal to open U.S. coastal areas to drilling, Governor Cuomo signs legislation to ban offshore drilling in New York State waters.

The Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act of 2019 establishes certain emission reduction limits as well as additional goals to address climate change. These requirements and goals include:
• Limit statewide greenhouse gas emissions to 40% of 1990 levels by 2030 and 85% by 2050
• A plan to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions across New York State’s economy
• 70% renewable electricity by 2030
• 100% zero emission electricity by 2040

RAYMOND HARRIS

For those of you who thought Trump’s economic record was reason enough to re-elect him, chew on this analysis for a while.

President Donald Trump still can’t accept the numbers measuring his loss to Joe Biden: more than 7 million popular votes and 74 electoral votes.

But another set of numbers adds insult to his psychological injury. They show that — notwithstanding lies as promiscuous as the ones he tells about election fraud — Trump will leave office in January with a historically bad record on the economy.
That sounds discordant since many Americans believe the economic fable that Trump has repeated relentlessly throughout his term. But placing his bottom-line results alongside those of his predecessors paints a deeply unflattering portrait.
Alone among the 13 presidents since World War Two, Trump will exit the White House with fewer Americans employed than when he started. He will have overseen punier growth in economic output than any of the previous 12 presidents.

His throwback “America First” agenda has failed to restore the old economic engine that powered an earlier era’s prosperity. On Trump’s watch, industrial production has fallen. The Federal Reserve says the manufacturing sector fell into recession in 2019 even before the coronavirus pandemic hit.
Last week was the 38th in a row in which at least 700,000 Americans filed first-time claims for unemployment benefits.
Holiday-season lines at food banks dramatize the scale of human suffering. More abstract measures, such as the US trade deficit and ratio of government debt to the size of the economy, have also worsened during Trump’s term.
“Trump’s economic record ranks near or at the bottom compared with other presidents,” concludes Moody’s chief economist Mark Zandi, who compared the economic results of all presidents from the last 70 years. “The economy under his watch has performed very poorly.”
To be sure, the deadliest public health pandemic in a century has devastated economic activity during this last year of the President’s term. But responding to unexpected catastrophe — from hurricanes to terrorist attacks to civil unrest to financial crises — represents a big part of the job. And, as Zandi notes, Trump’s bungled coronavirus response has exacerbated and extended damage to jobs and output.

Robert F. Jewell

Ray, excellent summation. Every sentence fact checked.
Good show.
Trump and Trumpers spin reality and the truth.
Numbers don’t lie….not from FOX or moron following Poll king..

Breaking NEWS!!

Moscow Mitch just officially recognized Biden as the new President 😉🤪😂

Ray would have believe that the rise in the market on thus the increase in pension security was the result of the foolishness of those who control billions.

RAYMOND HARRIS

I think Fred, like Trump, equates the stock market to the economy which we know isn’t true.

Robert F. Jewell

The unlearned, uninformed, uninvolved, always have opinions that are based
on feelings, here say, and conspiracies.

Like Trumps 50+ legal cases no facts, no analysis….no sale!!

William Marincic

Next four years I don’t want to hear crap from Biden fans.. you did this crap now we all have to live with consequences. I have listened to everyone else’s hatred and rhetoric for months Let me be clear, I am not a Biden fan. I think he is corrupt, a liar, and probably suffering from dementia. He has done nothing to improve anything in his 47-year political career. But what has Trump done in the past 4 years?
The “arrogant” in the White House brokered four Middle East Peace Accords, something that 71 years of political intervention and endless war failed to produce.
The “buffoon” in the White House is the first president that has not engaged us in a foreign war since Eisenhower.
The “racist” in the White House has had the greatest impact on the economy, bringing jobs, and lowering unemployment to the Black and Latino population of ANY other president. Ever.
The “liar” in the White House has exposed the deep, widespread, and long-standing corruption in the FBI, the CIA, the NSA, and the Republican and Democratic parties.
The “buffoon” in the White House turned NATO around and had them start paying their dues.
The “fool” in the White House neutralized the North Koreans and stopped them sending missiles toward Japan, and threatening the West Coast of the US.
The “xenophobe” in the White House turned our relationship with the Chinese around, brought hundreds of business back to the US, and revived the economy. Hello?????
The “clown” in the White House has accomplished the appointing of three Supreme Court Justices who believe in the rights of the unborn, and close to 300 Federal Judges.
This same clown lowered your taxes, increased the standard deduction on your IRS return from $12,500 to $24,400 for married couples and caused the stock market to rise to record levels, positively impacting the retirement accounts of tens of millions of citizens.
The clown in the White House fast-tracked the development of a COVID Vaccine which will be available soon. And yet we still don’t have a vaccine for SARS, Bird Flu, Ebola, or a host of diseases that arose during previous administrations.
The clown in the White House rebuilt our military which the Obama administration crippled and fired 214 key generals and admirals in his first year of office.
I got it, you don’t like him. Many of you utterly hate and despise him. How special of you. He is serving you and ALL the American people. What are you doing besides calling him names and laughing about him catching the China virus. Some of you were even hoping that COVID would be the cause of his demise.
Please educate me again as to what Biden has accomplished for America in his 47 years in office, besides making the whole Biden family richer! By the way, where is Hunter?
I’ll take the ‘clown’ any day versus a fork tongued, smooth talking hypocritical corrupt liar. I want a strong leader who isn’t afraid to kick some ass when needed. I don’t need a fatherly figure. I don’t need a liar. That’s what Hollywood, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS and the New York Times are for.
Call me a chump, a racist, or part of the basket of deplorables. I do not care!
God bless Donald Trump – the most unappreciated President in U.S history.

“the China virus”

‘Nuff said. That pretty much sums up America’s problem with you and your savior. But you don’t get, none of the MAGAs get it.
There’s the proper name for this virus, and there’s the bullying, accusatory name tRump dubbed it and you MAGAs lapped up.

America has just shown it doesn’t want a bully for a President. America wants a President it, and its children, can be proud of.
Exit stage right.

Robert F. Jewell

Bill for once you are completely right.

Trump was a :
LIAR, XENOPHOBE, BUFFOON, FOOL,
CLOWN, ARROGANT,RACIST…President…

But not anymore…

He’s walking away…jubilation day!!🎶
