High schools: Albany bowling tops Schenectady in season opener

Delon Dean put together a 268 single and a 667 triple to lift Albany over Schenectady 5-0 in a season-starting Suburban Council boys’ bowling match Monday at Boulevard Bowl.

Jedrek Arasim backed Dean with a 239 single and 644 three-game block. Preetish Arjune topped Schenectady with a 203 triple and 557 triple.

Broadalbin-Perth scored a 4-0 Foothills Council win over Scotia-Glenville, with Alex Filmer’s 197-533 anchoring the Patriots. Aiden Young had the high single and triple for the Tartans at 220-529.

The Niskayuna girls beat Saratoga 5-0 behind Maddy Ruby’s 244-546 and Abby Bell’s 203-512.
