High schools: Niskayuna boys’ bowling shuts out Shaker

Niskayuna blanked Shaker 5-0 in Suburban Council boys’ bowling, led by Michael Barry’s 229 high game and 669 series. Austin Haight added a 225-603.

Ballston Spa’s Hunter Wade rolled a varsity career-high 742 series in a tri-match against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake and Columbia. He had a 268 high game. Columbia won 5-0 against the Scotties, with Zack Bogholtz rolling a 269-727. Burnt Hills also took all five points over Ballston Spa, paced by Zach Peabody’s 277-643. Columbia defeated Burnt Hills 3-2.

Averill Park blanked Shenendehowa 5-0, led by Joe Minehan’s 704 series.

Saratoga Springs’ Brady Jennings rolled a 264-660 series, and Macallan Gagne followed with a 234-658 afternoon as the Blue Streaks defeated Schenectady 5-0. Schenectady’s Preetish Arjune rolled a team-high 248 as part of his 600 series.

Scotia-Glenville’s Aiden Young rolled a 649 series that included games of 244 and 245 as the Tartans tied Schuylerville 2-2 in Foothills Council boys’ bowling. Savannah Swiatocha added a 255 as part of her 610 series. Carson Griffin led the Black Horses with his 224-645.

Maple Hill’s Michael Laney rolled a 299-808 series, and the Wildcats beat Rensselaer 5-0 in the Patroon Conference.

Schenectady’s Kiara Beehm paced all bowlers with a 226 high game and 608 series as the Patriots defeated Ballston Spa 5-0 in Suburban Council girls’ bowling. Selena Wolf added a 236-580, and Shane Terry rolled a 562. The Scotties were led by Kennedy Baker’s 235-611, Taylor Russell added a 204-576 series.
