Tom Goslowski, the former 104.5 The Team (WTMM-FM) brand manager and co-host of “Levack and Goz,” responded on Wednesday to a comment from Townsquare Media Albany market president Kevin Rich about his departure from the station on Monday.
When asked why Goslowski was let go, Rich said in an email that “while we do not comment on any particular person’s situation or performance, what I can share is that the decision was specific to Goz and not related to COVID nor any economic backdrop. To that point, we have already been recruiting for a replacement and we are already receiving strong interest in the opportunity to serve the local sports community in the Capital Region. 104.5 The Team is the only Albany radio station with great daily local sports content, rather than just being fully syndicated.”
Goslowski, who had been with the station since April 2016, posted on his Twitter page, “The unnecessary and intentionally vague comments have sadly put my character, performance as a brand manager/host and employee into question.”
Goslowski said he will speaking about his career and dismissal on a podcast he is starting at 3 p.m. Monday called “Getting There with Goz.”
