
TOWN OF AMSTERDAM – A tractor-trailer rolled over Wednesday morning on Route 67 prompting responders to advise taking an alternate route for a time.
No injuries were reported.
The accident happened before 7:30 a.m. on Route 67, between Manny Corners and Belfance roads as the driver lost control, Montgomery County Sheriff Jeff Smith said. The trailer was carrying 47,000 pounds of compressed cardboard.
Smith identified the driver as David M. Kaspar, of Spring Grove, Va. Kaspar was issued tickets for unsafe speed and reckless driving, Smith said.
No other vehicles were involved.
The Hagaman and Cranesville fire departments also responded.
