High schools: Sgambato's 686 triple leads Gloversville bowling past Amsterdam

Mark Sgambato put together a 686 triple with a high single of 236, and three other Gloversville bowlers surpassed the 600 mark in a 4-0 Foothills Council win over Amsterdam Friday.

Adrian Dorman had the top single for Gloversville with a 256, and finished with a 675 three-game set. Mekhi Curry paced Amsterdam with a 225-625.

Gloversville improved to 19-5. Amsterdam dipped to 25-7.

The Colonie boys posted a 5-0 Suburban Council win over Albany behind Tim Knowles’ 224-662. Delon Dean had a 277-685 for Albany.

Brayden Hinkle won the 200 individual medley and the 100 breast, helping Albany Academy take the 200 free relay, in the Cadets’ 120-60 Colonial Council boys’ swimming win over Mohonasen/Schalmont.
