HALFMOON – A Halfmoon man stole a laptop at gunpoint while purporting to purchase it, Saratoga County Sheriff’s officials said.

Loren M. Hull, 21, of D&R Mobile Home Village, was arrested and charged a short time after the incident with second-degree robbery, a felony, officials said Tuesday.

He was arrested after an investigation into a report of a robbery on Woodlawn Avenue in Halfmoon. Hull is accused of displaying what appeared to be a handgun, but later turned out to be a BB gun, to forcibly steal the laptop from a man known to him, officials said.

Hull had been there to purchase the computer, officials said.

Hull fled the scene, but was arrested at his residence a short time later, officials said.

Hull was arraigned and ordered held on $1,000 bail. He is to return to court later.
