Soulless Cuomo has failed New York
Andy Cuomo has no soul.
Why did it take six months and a Supreme Court judge ruling for his administration to finally release the data of nursing home deaths?
Blowing off the FOIL requests shows his complete guilt in not reporting the truth to these families that suffered a horrible loss.
Now, we “taxed to the moon” taxpayers get to pay the legal fees for the Empire Center’s lawyers. Cuomo himself should bear this cost for his utter incompetence.
Cuomo’s “Who cares; they died” remark proves his heartless arrogance. New York was rapidly declining prior to the virus and it all circles back to his policies and ineptness.
I don’t know who is the bigger failure, the governor of New York or the governor of California.
Michael P. Croce Sr.
Trump gave up pay, but got much more
I have noticed that Trump supporters are fond of stating that he doesn’t take the salary that is due to presidents of the United States. Actually, federal regulations compel him to take a $1.00 salary.
However, that doesn’t make Donnie the altruist his followers claim he is.
As of December 2020, the parasitic ex-president has spent $151.5 million in taxpayer dollars — the equivalent of 379 years of presidential salary — playing golf.
Use common sense to stop covid spread
It’s Sunday morning, Jan. 24. I’m watching the news and reading the Sunday papers.
On TV some place (I didn’t catch where), they’re giving covid shots. That’s nice. However, the person giving the shot was not wearing a mask or gloves. The person getting the shot is also not wearing a mask. Their faces are less than two-and-a-half feet apart. Are people crazy?
Then someone is giving nurses tickets to the Super Bowl. How nice. Let’s put our front line workers on planes to travel to another state. What happened to limiting travel? You could give them the money to go to the Super Bowl and hopefully they would spend it on something less risky. I know for some people, going to the Super Bowl would be worth it. But is it really fair to all of us to keep the spread going?
Then President Biden is on the news saying it is going to get worse before it gets better. Of course, it is. People have no common sense these days. Just look at the death toll, soon to hit 500,000.
Also, that person giving shots with no PPE was not washing her hands in between each shot.
I’m 66 years old. I want a shot. But the giver and all there getting shots better have PPE on or you can stick your shot where the sun doesn’t shine!
Steam, not smoke, comes from stacks
A photo was posted on page C3 of the Feb. 2 Gazette. The caption posted said “Clouds of smoke emerge from paper mill smokestacks along the Hudson River on a cold morning.”
I think your Erica Miller should learn the difference between smoke and steam/water vapor.
I remember many uninformed people claim they saw “lots of smoke” coming from the Palo Verde Nuclear plant in Arizona when it was water vapor from the cooling towers. Misinformation only stirs up the green people.
To get a fresh start, dump instigators
As an 82-year-old disabled veteran, I am deeply concerned about the latest developments in Washington.
I would like to see the removal of the instigators who indirectly may have cause the deaths of five people, plus considerable damage to the White House, Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, Ted Cruz, and last but not least Elise Stefanik.
Let’s get rid of “Bad News” and start fresh in 2021.
