UAlbany men’s soccer selected third in America East poll

The University at Albany men’s soccer team was picked to finish third in the America East Preseason Coaches’ Poll, the conference announced Wednesday.

The Great Danes earned 48 points and received two of nine first-place votes.

New Hampshire, the 2019 America East tournament and regular season champion, was picked first with 63 points and seven first-place votes. Vermont was second with 52 points.

Rounding out the poll were NJIT (40 points), Hartford (37 points), UMass Lowell (34 points), UMBC (25 points), Stony Brook (14 points) and Binghamton (11 points).

UAlbany is scheduled to open its spring season Feb. 19 against Syracuse at Afrim’s in Latham.
