The University at Albany women’s soccer team was picked to finish third in the America East Preseason Coaches’ Poll, the conference announced Wednesday.
The Great Danes earned 58 points.
Stony Brook received nine of 10 first-place votes and earned 81 points. Hartford was picked second with the other first-place vote and garnered 70 points.
UMass Lowell was picked fourth with 53 points, followed by New Hampshire (50 points), Binghamton (47 points), NJIT (35 points), Maine (26 points), Vermont (20 points) and UMBC (10 points).
UAlbany is scheduled to start its spring season, the first under new head coach Leigh Howard, on Feb. 21 at St. John’s.
