Schenectady police officers look for evidence on Wyllie Street after a man was shot Friday evening near Brandywine Avenue.

SCHENECTADY – Police continued Monday to investigate a Friday night shooting in Schenectady that sent one man to the hospital, police said Monday morning.

The man, 21, was taken to Albany Medical Center with injuries described as non-life-threatening, police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Dearing said.

The shooting happened in the area of South Brandywine Avenue and Wyllie Street at about 9 p.m. Friday, Dearing said.

Police could be seen in the area after the shooting looking for evidence and a bicycle could be seen down in the road. Further information on the case was not available Saturday or Sunday.

No arrests had been made in the case as of Monday morning and the case remained under investigation, Dearing said.
