
Freshmen Tray Alexander and Shane O’Dell led the Saint Rose men’s basketball team to its first win of the season Wednesday night, as the Golden Knights won 73-63 against Molloy.
O’Dell had 21 points and eight rebounds in the victory at Quealy Gymnasium in Rockville Centre, while Alexander contributed 19 points and 10 assists.
Saint Rose led 30-28 at halftime. The Golden Knights were up as many as 13 points in the second half, and maintained at least a two-possession advantage for the final 12 minutes of the contest.
Before topping Molloy (2-3), Saint Rose (1-1) lost its opening game 97-92 against St. Thomas Aquinas last week.
Saint Rose next plays Monday against American International.
