
ALBANY — Four visiting Mercyhurst players registered double-digit scoring, as the Saint Rose women’s basketball team fell for a second consecutive day at Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium.
Mercyhurst secured a two-game sweep Wednesday of Saint Rose with a 75-52 victory. Jayde Boyd and Grace Centrulla each scored 18 points for Mercyhurst, while Boyd added seven rebounds.
For Saint Rose, former Amsterdam High School star Nina Fedullo scored a team-high 18 points, while Ryley Blasetti added 11. Fedullo also had six rebounds, while teammate Kaileigh Hunt had a team-high seven.
Mercyhurst scored the first seven points in Wednesday’s non-conference game, a rematch that never saw Saint Rose lead. Mercyhurst led 34-19 at halftime and led by as many as 25 points in the fourth quarter.
For the game, Mercyhurst made 27 of 52 shots, while Saint Rose made 18 of 57. From 3-point territory, Saint Rose only made 1 of 17 attempts.
Saint Rose is 0-2 on the season and plays next Tuesday against American International.
With the win, Mercyhurst improved to 9-4.
