The UAlbany women’s lacrosse team’s game Saturday at Boston College was postponed.
A statement issued from the Boston College athletic department said the “postponement follows a positive test within the Albany lacrosse program.”
UAlbany athletic director Mark Benson confirmed Saturday the Great Danes program had a positive COVID-19 test result among its Tier 1 personnel, but said the program had not needed to pause in-person team activities.
UAlbany’s game Thursday vs. St. Bonaventure remains scheduled to be played. That game will now serve as the Great Danes’ season-opening game.
